An online exchange was held between the Zhongguancun Global High-level Think Tank Alliance (ZGCTA) and the Institute for Digital Economy & Artificial Systems BRICS PartNIR (IDEAS) in the afternoon of December 4, 2025. The event was moderated by Li Junkai, ZGCTA Secretary-General and Director of the International and Regional Cooperation Center of the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BJAST).

Introducing ZGCTA’s birth, positioning, brand activities and research outputs, Li stated that being efficiently connected thanks to this exchange, she really looked forward to taking this opportunity to carry out precisely targeted cooperation with IDEAS in areas such as R&D collaboration, resource sharing, talent exchange and mutual learning, jointly empowering the high-quality development of the digital economy in BRICS countries.

Sharing IDEAS’ initiation background, core functions, cooperative advantages and vision, Yu Xiao, Director and Deputy Secretary-General of IDEAS, stated that it gathered Chinese and overseas quality resources from top universities, research institutions and industries. As ZGCTA’s reach-out and influence are highly recognized, a long-term bilateral cooperation shall be established, according to Yu.

Both sides were engaged in an in-depth exchange of respective resources, advantages and interests, which further enhanced mutual trust and understanding. Cooperative consensus was built as a solid foundation for future multi-dimensional and in-depth collaboration.
